Having seen a noticeable gap in the Australian market for premium Cider made from true heritage apple and pear trees, owners James and Gail Kendell of ‘Small Acres Cyder’, sought to fill that void by setting up there Cider business 14 years ago.
Drawing inspiration from the UK (where Gail grew up) and the traditional production of Cider in place there, it was an obvious decision to set up production here in Orange with its ideal climate, soil conditions and the already established and thriving food and wine industry.
Fast forward and ‘Small Acres Cyder’ have claimed more than 130 industry awards including ‘Most Successful Small Producer’ for 2017, 2018 and 2019. An easy 1st pick for us when putting together our ‘All Local Bunker Boxes.’
